A little bird for a sunny Sunday. This bird is a detail from a painting I am working on for some time now. Every time I look at the painting my eye catches the bird first. So today I’ll let him take a look at the world.
This image is made on quared paper using several materials. It’s meant to give you a happy moment. Just sing along with the orange bird, no matter if you’re terribly out of tune.

Painting my heart out. Time for a lunchbreak!
Canvas 301, acrylics on canvas (60×40 cm)
Exactly 26 years ago I became a mother. I was (am) so happy, so completely overwhelmed by all the feelings of love and wonder about this miracle. This beautiful human being that had grown inside of me and that I had the honour of taking care of.
I made colorful happy drawings and the piece above is based upon one of those.
Happy bithday, my son!
‘… and don’t forget to smell the flowers along the way’
I read this once, but I don’t remember whose words they are.
These last couple of weeks I find it difficult to make time to make art and to publish some of it here. I’m trying to pick up the habit of posting 4 to 5 times a week again. That means that I have to be a little bit less perfectionistic about what I make. So today I post this image of a summer feeling. Just some strokes of color made with photoshop. I hope you enjoy it. I certainly enjoyed making it!
