‘I never was such a horsegirl…’, acrylics, posca, marker and a little bit of photoshop

This image showed up in my artjournal today. It’s funny because I never felt a lot for horses. not like some other girls in my class did. In fact, I was scared of them. Nowadays I tend to paint and doodle horselike figures, probably more for the symbolic meaning of them. For me horses stand for courage, firmness, chivalrousness, speed and sometimes wildness. This horse stands in a stable. I don’t remember ever having created an image like that. What does it mean here? ‘Caged wildness’ maybe? Something to ponder about…
